Your non-conscious brain is perceiving, learning, and making decisions for you all the time that by definition which you are not even aware.  It’s an amazing part of your brain and here are some interesting facts about it.

By the way, your non-conscious brain is the same thing as your sub-conscious brain.  Neuroscientists prefer the term “non-conscious” because it does away with a lot of non-scientific baggage that comes with the old term.

Your Non-Conscious Brain Is Parallel

Your conscious brain is thinking one thought while your non-conscious brain is thinking five thoughts!

Your Non-Conscious Brain Is Big

Your conscious brain accounts for 17 percent of total brain volume.  Your non-conscious brain then is 83 percent of total brain volume.

Your Non-Conscious Brain Is Fast

Impulses in your conscious brain travel at about 120 mph. Non-conscious impulses travel at more than 100,000 mph.  That is about 800 times faster than your conscious impulses!

Your Non-Conscious Brain Is Controlling

Your conscious brain controls only 2-4 percent of your behavior and perception.  Your non-conscious brain controls 96-98 percent of your behavior and perception!

Your Non-Conscious Brain Is Very Powerful

Your conscious brain processes information at the rate of around 2,000 bits per second. Your non-conscious brain processes information at 400,000,000,000 bits per second.

WOW!  My conscious brain is very intimidated and is needs to sulk for a while.
